Meet Karra Grace, our founder of Linx Gym. Learn more about her story and how Linx Gym came to be.

“My journey began with my desire to consistently train for myself. Since my teens, I have been training both in and out of the gym, taking breaks for six months at a time. I wanted to challenge myself mentally and physically and to have structure in my life.

Once I started training in a gym, I began to enjoy it and noticed drastic physical and mental health changes. I felt better inside and out - I didn't want to stop. Over the months, I started to notice things I didn't like about mainstream gyms for women; the ladies' area would have only cardio machines and barely any weights, if any at all. Personal trainers, even if you weren't paying for 1-2-1 sessions with them, were extremely reluctant to help you around the gym or with technique. Nonetheless, I continued.

After about a year, a friend suggested that I document my workouts on social media, to either help encourage others or provide workout routines, as some people can find this challenging. I started posting my workouts and, after some time, I received countless requests from women asking me to train them. I kindly rejected all these requests but always offered helpful tips, as I knew how hard it was to get advice without paying for it. I knew I wanted to help these girls out!

In 2018, I began training a friend to see if I could do it and if I enjoyed it. Well... I loved it, and most importantly, she got results and flourished in her fitness journey. The feeling of helping another woman reach her goals and seeing her results was contagious. I started accepting requests for personal training from referrals.

Fast-forward to 2020—COVID hit! I had already built up a small following on my fitness social media, and I was proactive in changing the way I worked. In March 2020, we went into lockdown, and I wasted no time in getting my Instagram live workouts going that same week. They were a hit - people were sharing them, and getting results! My following continued to grow, and my clients continued to see positive results.

Before I knew it, a passionate community of inspiring women was formed, coming from all walks of life. They motivate and support each other to reach their fullest potential as individuals.

Since then, Karra Grace Personal Training has expanded with the goal of helping people reach their fitness goals. Over the years, I've been able to expand my business and now offer a wide range of services. From 1:1 and 2:1 training sessions, weekly group park workouts, to personalised training programs tailored to each individual's needs, I strive to provide the best possible experience for each client.”
